Faith, Friendship, Forgiveness and Love
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The school bell is still rung at 8.58 am each school morning to let you know it is time to start the school day.
The school is administered through the Diocese of Peterborough, working with Northamptonshire County Council to provide education for the children of Mears Ashby and Hardwick as well as families from further afield who are looking for a Church of England or small school environment for their child.
The building (original Victorian school building to the front and the modern extensions to the rear) is situated in an attractive rural setting at the edge of Mears Ashby village. It has secure and extensive grounds, incorporating an environmental studies area, a playground with play equipment and a playing field to the rear of the school.

At Mears Ashby, we work towards a welcoming, calm and purposeful atmosphere, in which everyone feels comfortable, motivated and takes pleasure in his/her learning. We also aim to ensure the school environment is attractive, stimulating and informative.

Mears Ashby CEVA Primary School has a very long history. Its origins begin in 1710 with a sum of money left in the will of Sarah Kinloch of Northampton. It was her wish to give all children in Mears Ashby a chance to enrich their lives with a good Christian education. A Trust Fund was therefore established and has been administered successfully for over 300 years, still providing an additional endowment to the school of £1,000 each year, used to enhance the education and school life of our pupils. |
|
Children are encouraged to develop self-discipline, a sense of pride in themselves and their school and recognise that their school is part of a wider community. We aim to provide quality education that sets high standards and recognises the individual child's needs. Children should feel confident within themselves as well as be independent in their work, so that they can take an active role in their learning. |

At Mears Ashby School, we encourage all members of the school to be fair, polite and sympathetic at all times. Staff provide positive role models in demonstrating the qualities of patience, honesty, tolerance and good humour in our dealings with others. We value good manners and behaviour and teach good social behaviour and consideration for others.
Parents are actively encouraged to support the school to enable children to develop to their full potential.
Children are expected to follow a simple Code of Behaviour which is worded by each class as appropriate to their age.

Be kind, honest and truthful to everyone. |
